Joining on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch
Consoles cannot type a server address, so Vanilla+ is joined through BedrockConnect: change your console's DNS, open a featured server, and enter play.vanillaplus.net.
Tip: Checked 5 November 2026 against the BedrockConnect README. The DNS addresses below belong to BedrockConnect, a third-party project not run by Vanilla+, and they can change. If a connection fails, check that page for the current addresses first.
What you need
- The Vanilla+ Bedrock address:
play.vanillaplus.net, port19132 - About five minutes the first time; after that, the server stays saved in the BedrockConnect list
- Bedrock players skip the join queue, consoles included
Xbox and Nintendo Switch
- Set the console's DNS by hand
- Xbox: Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual
- Switch: System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings > your network > Change Settings > DNS Settings > Manual
- Primary DNS:
104.238.130.180, Secondary DNS:8.8.8.8, then save and let the connection test finish
- Open Minecraft and go to Play > Servers
- Join one of the featured servers: Mineville, Lifeboat, Enchanted, Galaxite or The Hive. With the DNS set, it opens the BedrockConnect server list instead of that server.
- Choose "Connect to a Server", enter
play.vanillaplus.netand port19132, and submit. "Add Server" in the same menu saves it for next time.
PlayStation 4 and 5
- Set the console's DNS by hand
- PS5: Settings > Network > Settings > Set Up Internet Connection > your network > Advanced Settings > DNS Settings: Manual
- PS4: Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection > your connection > Custom, keep every other setting automatic, DNS Settings: Manual
- Primary DNS:
45.55.68.52, Secondary DNS:8.8.8.8, then save and let the connection test finish
- Open Minecraft and go to Play > Servers
- Join one of the featured servers: Mineville, Lifeboat, Enchanted, Galaxite or The Hive. With the DNS set, it opens the BedrockConnect server list.
- Choose "Connect to a Server", enter
play.vanillaplus.netand port19132, and submit.
If it does not work
- The featured server loads normally instead of a server list: the DNS change has not taken effect. Check the two addresses, save again, and restart the game.
- "Unable to connect to world": check the address and the port
19132, then whether the server is up on vanillaplus.net or in the Discord. - To undo everything, set the console's DNS back to Automatic.
Phones and Windows do not need any of this: add the server from Play > Servers as described on the wiki home.
